Experience
I’ve been working in HR and reading a degree in HR since November 2020. From the very first day it has been an incredible journey where each day I develop new skills and acquire new knowledge.  My career in HR has brought with it multiple opportunities for variety and career progression starting as an HR Administration Clerk and recently have been promoted to HR Assistant. One of the things I love most about HR is that it is constantly growing and changing. From compliance with new laws and legislation, to technology and employee expectations. HR never gets boring and is always challenging. I have found my ideal work environment where we work as a group, and we encourage each other and share our ideas.

Current Role 
As an HR Assistant I deal mainly with Recruitment, Training, Employee Relations, Sick Leave, Work Permits, Appraisals and Payroll amongst others. Payroll is one of the most important aspects of a company because it affects employee’s morale and the business’ financial stability and reputation. Since employees rely on their salaries, errors or untimely payments can create a lack of trust.

About Myself
I like to socialise however am also a stay-at-home individual where I can quietly read a book or watch a movie. Being a mother of a five-year-old makes it more important to have a work-life balance even though I must admit that sometimes I find it difficult to switch off from work.

I believe that it is useless to have a business model, a marketing strategy or a vast market if you do not have the right team because it is people that bring ideas to life, execute strategy and make improvements to fix things. Real and sustainable organisational change happens when one hires the right people, trains them and get out of their way so that they can shine.
